Tips for WJEC A level Maths papers
- The AS units are 40% of the A level, so a strong AS year matters. Resits of AS units are possible: ask your school.
- Pure units are 2 hours 30 minutes. Practise full papers to build stamina, not just single questions.
- In the applied units you can split the time between statistics and mechanics as you like. Do the section you are stronger in first.
- Unit 4 includes differential equations alongside mechanics, which the English boards put in pure papers. Make sure you practise them in context.
