  • How we help

Free IB review

Send us a recent school test, a past paper or the topics you find hardest on WhatsApp. In your free demo class we go through the questions where you lost marks, show you why, and give you a plan to your exams.

How IB is assessed

Checked against the IB subject guides in October 2026.

IB Mathematics: Analysis and Approaches (AA)

  • SL Paper 1 (no calculator) 40%, Paper 2 (calculator) 40%, exploration 20%
  • HL Paper 1 30%, Paper 2 30%, Paper 3 problem-solving 20%, exploration 20%

AA leans on algebra, calculus and proof. Paper 1 is taken without a calculator.

IB Mathematics: Applications and Interpretation (AI)

  • SL Paper 1 40%, Paper 2 40%, exploration 20%, calculator in both
  • HL Paper 1 30%, Paper 2 30%, Paper 3 20%, exploration 20%

AI leans on statistics, modelling and using your graphic display calculator well.

IB Physics, SL and HL

  • Paper 1 Paper 1A multiple choice and Paper 1B data-based questions: 36% of the grade
  • Paper 2 Short and extended-response questions: 44% of the grade
  • Internal assessment Your own scientific investigation: 20% of the grade

SL and HL carry the same weightings. HL adds extra content in every theme and longer papers.

The internal assessment

  • Maths exploration A written investigation worth 20% of your IB Maths grade
  • Physics investigation A scientific investigation worth 20% of your IB Physics grade
  • How we help Choosing a workable question, the maths behind it and the marking criteria

We guide and give feedback. The IA itself must be your own work, as the IB requires.

Tell us your course (AA or AI, SL or HL) in your first message and we follow it.

How we plan your IB year

Adapted to your free review: we spend the time where your marks are.

  1. DiagnoseYour free demo: we look at a recent test or past paper and find where the marks went.
  2. Core contentThe topics your school is on now, and the gaps from earlier years that slow you down.
  3. Internal assessmentGuidance on your IA question, structure and criteria, with feedback on drafts. The work stays yours.
  4. Exam techniqueCommand terms, showing working and, in physics, data-based questions.
  5. Past papersTimed papers marked against IB markschemes, with an error log of every lost mark.

IB Maths, Paper 2 style

What is the maximum value of f(x) = x e−x, to 3 significant figures?

  1. 0.271
  2. 0.368
  3. 0.500
  4. 1.00
Show the worked solution
  1. Product rule: f′(x) = e−x − x e−x = e−x(1 − x).
  2. e−x is never zero, so f′(x) = 0 only at x = 1, where f changes from increasing to decreasing.
  3. f(1) = e−1 = 0.368.
  4. Answer: B. Option A is f(2), a common slip after solving f′(x) = 0 wrongly.

IB Physics, Paper 2 style

Resistors of 6.0 Ω and 3.0 Ω are connected in parallel to a 12 V cell of negligible internal resistance. What is the current from the cell?

  1. 1.3 A
  2. 4.0 A
  3. 6.0 A
  4. 18 A
Show the worked solution
  1. In parallel: 1/R = 1/6.0 + 1/3.0 = 1/2.0, so R = 2.0 Ω.
  2. I = V/R = 12/2.0 = 6.0 A.
  3. Answer: C. Option A adds the resistors as if they were in series.

Questions

Which IB subjects do you teach?

IB Mathematics (Analysis and Approaches, and Applications and Interpretation) and IB Physics, at SL and HL.

Can you help with the IA?

Yes, with choosing a question, the maths or physics behind it and the marking criteria, and feedback on drafts. The IA itself must be your own work, as the IB requires.

How much does it cost?

₹2,500 an hour for a live 1-on-1 online class. Your first demo class is free, with nothing to pay and nothing to sign.

When are classes?

Class times are flexible. We agree a regular time with your family after the free demo, in Indian time, around school and coaching.

Is this a batch or 1-on-1?

Always 1-on-1. One student and one tutor, live on video. We do not run batches or group classes.

Do you come home to teach?

No. Every class is live online, so it works the same wherever you live in India.

Where are your tutors based?

In India. We teach online, with students in India, the US, the UK, Singapore, Dubai, Taiwan and Africa.

How do I pay?

By bank transfer to our Indian bank account. We send the details on WhatsApp.

Can you guarantee a grade?

No one honestly can. Results vary by student. What we can promise is patient, focused 1-on-1 help on exactly the topics you find hard.

How do I start?

Message us on WhatsApp with the course, your board or level, and what you find hard. We will set up a free demo class.
