Tips for OCR MEI A level Maths papers
- Paper 3 includes a comprehension task: you read an unseen article about a piece of maths and answer questions on it. Practise this with past Paper 3s, as no other board has it.
- Papers 1 and 2 mix pure with applied questions, so a weak pure topic costs marks on every paper.
- MEI statistics questions use its large data set. Explore it before the exam so its context is familiar.
- Read the examiner reports: MEI explains the common errors on each question.
