AP exam schedule 2027: dates, deadlines and scores
The 2027 AP exams run over two weeks in May: Monday 3 May to Friday 7 May, and Monday 10 May to Friday 14 May. Here is the full official schedule, the deadlines that come before it, and when scores are released.

The 2027 AP exam schedule at a glance
College Board has published the full schedule. Each day has two sessions. In most of the United States, including the lower 48 states, Hawaii and Washington, D.C., Session 1 starts at 8 a.m. and Session 2 at 12 p.m., local time. From 2027, start times have changed in some other locations, to stop exam content leaking across time zones, so students outside the US should check their school's times.

Exams cannot be taken early or at any other time than the published one. If two of your exams are in the same session, your school orders a late-testing exam for one of them.

Clashes to know about
- AP Physics 1 and AP Physics C: E&M are in the same session on Wednesday 5 May. A student taking both needs a late-testing date for one of them.
- Calculus AB and BC share Monday 10 May morning. You take one or the other; the BC score report includes an AB subscore.
- Physics C: Mechanics and E&M are on different days in 2027 (Monday and Wednesday), so a student taking both has a rest day between them.
Deadlines before the exams

Schools often set their own registration deadline earlier than 13 November, so ask your AP coordinator now if you have not registered. The late fee is charged per exam, so it adds up quickly for a student taking three or four.
When AP scores come out
College Board releases AP scores in July. The 2027 key-dates calendar lists "July 2027" without a day. Scores go to your College Board account first; the free score send you choose by 20 June goes to one college, university or scholarship programme at the same time.
How long you have from now
From late October 2026 there are about 28 weeks until the first physics exam on 3 May, and about 28 weeks until Calculus on 10 May. That is enough time to finish the course and still leave six weeks of exam practice, if you plan it:

Common mistakes
- Missing the school's own registration deadline, which is often earlier than College Board's 13 November.
- Planning revision around the 2026 format: question counts and timings change in 2027 for physics, calculus and statistics.
- Not noticing a clash until spring, when a late-testing exam may be the only option.
- Expecting scores in June: they come out in July.
