AQA publishes its A level Physics (7408) past papers free, with mark schemes and examiner reports. There are three 2-hour papers: Paper 1 (85 marks), Paper 2 (85 marks), and Paper 3 (80 marks), which has a practical skills and data analysis section and one option topic.

Tips for AQA A level Physics papers

• Paper 3 Section B is your option topic only: astrophysics, medical physics, engineering physics, turning points or electronics. Practise just yours.
• Each of Papers 1 and 2 starts with long-answer questions and ends with 25 multiple-choice questions. Leave about 35 minutes for the multiple choice.
• In practical questions, quote uncertainties and say how a graph's gradient or intercept gives the quantity.
• AQA examiner reports list the common errors on every question: read them for the questions you got wrong.
